how do I use this?

There is no doco provided on auth tokens and all I can get out of these APIs (not surprisingly) is "Not Authorized"

Do I need an API key? How would I use it and where do I get it?

Do I need a set of credentials to use with permissions to use the APIs? Where do I get it?
